You often have a sense of what feels right for you. Not always in a clear or logical way, but something in you knows, and you can feel it.

And then almost immediately, you start to question it. You analyse what you feel, ask others for their opinions, weigh it up from every angle, trying to make sure it makes sense or won’t rock the boat, and eventually what you felt gets overridden.

This shows up in more than just what you say or don’t say. It’s there in the decisions you make, the things you stay in longer than you want to, the way you organise yourself around other people, and the way you talk yourself out of what you know when it would require something to change.

When you try to do something differently, express a boundary, or even just say no politely, your body reacts. Your heart races, your stomach drops, there’s a sense of unease, and you find yourself pulling back or talking yourself out of it, even when part of you knows you don’t want to.

Even when something feels clear, you don’t fully trust yourself to follow it.

WHY THIS KEEPS HAPPENING

This isn’t about you not knowing yourself or what you want.

You do, but your body doesn’t yet feel safe to follow it.

Even when something within you feels clear, if it might involve change or create tension or disappointment for someone else, your body protests.

When you take that response as a sign not to follow what you know, you find yourself circling in the same loop.

HOW CHANGE BECOMES POSSIBLE

What was once protective doesn’t have to stay that way. Patterns your body learned for safety or belonging can shift.

Even with those patterns in place, there’s still a part of you that knows what’s true, can feel it.

As you build the capacity to trust what you feel instead of talking yourself out of it, the second-guessing fades and you start choosing based on what feels right in real time.

WORK WITH ME: A 3-MONTH SOMATIC COACHING PROGRAM

A three-month, one-to-one somatic coaching program built around where you are now, what you’re wanting to move towards, and the capacity your body needs to support that.

We meet fortnightly, with ongoing support between sessions, so you can work with what’s actually coming up in your life, not just talk about it. This is how you begin to trust what you feel, respond from it, and live in a way that reflects that.

ABOUT CAROLINE

I’m Caroline, a somatic practitioner and coach. I support women who are tired of second-guessing themselves and overriding what they feel, to begin trusting and living from their inner knowing.

I know this pattern intimately. I’ve lived it, and I’ve rebuilt a relationship with myself from the ground up. My work helps you understand what’s happening in your body, so you can trust what you feel and live in a way that reflects that.
