HOW SOMATICS helps US live with more purpose

Living from our conditioning is so commonplace in 2025 that we take it for granted as normal. I certainly did, even after years of therapy and meditation. I had a painful level of self awareness of the conditioning that was continuing to drive my choices, but still kept looping.

So many of us live from a place of self-doubt, over-giving and under-receiving, blame or over-responsibility, lack of discernment or rigidity—that it often goes unquestioned. 

But living from these conditioned ways of doing and feeling saps us of energy, presence and joy. Because it's unnatural. What's natural, is for us to live from a place of instinct. To be led by our inbuilt instincts of discernment, of self-trust, of giving and receiving, of sovereignty, of self-acceptance and radical self-expression.

Here's a little taste of what life looks and feels like, before and after reconnecting with the natural instincts you were born with. 
 

BEFORE: You wonder “is this my intuition or is it anxiety” regularly.

AFTER: You are deeply attuned to your body’s communication. You know unequivocally what a yes and a no feels like in your system.

BEFORE: You take others’ emotions and reactions personally, sometimes feeling responsible for causing their reactions. 

AFTER: You have a solid sense of discernment of what’s yours and what’s not yours. You are wholly self-responsible—you don’t blame others for your thoughts or feelings. You empathise with and normalise others’ experiences while not identifying with them as your responsibility. Others’ emotions and reactions don’t de-stabilise you.

BEFORE: You doubt and second guess your own emotions, feeling ashamed if you feel angry, sad or depressed. 

AFTER: You normalise and allow your emotions to be felt instinctively, without shaming or questioning yourself for feeling how you feel. You turn towards your body, sensing and feeling what wants to be felt or acknowledged within you. You embrace every flavour of your experience as being deeply human.

BEFORE: You consume personal development content on social media, shaming yourself for continually failing to implement the mindset changes you read about. 

AFTER: You have fine tuned your ability to sense what you need in response to thoughts, emotions and body sensations. You don’t wrong or shame yourself for any part of your human experience.

BEFORE: It takes a lot of vigilance to stay on top of anxiety or negative thoughts, so that they don’t swallow you. 

AFTER: Thoughts come and go. Emotions come and go. Body sensations come and go. You don’t get stuck in any one state because you turn towards your experiences and allow your body to guide you towards what’s needed, moment by moment.

BEFORE: You’ve had creative ideas—for hobbies, for projects, for business or study—for years, but self-doubt and spiralling thoughts about all the things that could go wrong, hold you back from following your creativity. 

AFTER: You have the self-trust and inner stability to follow your creative impulses. You allow your creativity to be followed and expressed freely.

Firstly, because you’re not broken. And secondly, because everything that you need to live a life of freedom and purpose already resides inside of your own body.
